The Centre is a place for the community and those in the community that are interested in higher education and awareness of environment and its needs using the art as a conduit. The centre is an art gallery and a space for seminars, filming, designing , product development, alternative life styles and workshops.

The Summer Program (2007)

Events


Starts 15 July and runs through until 15 AUGUST 2007. FOR CHILDREN AGES 8 YEARS OLD TO 16 YEARS OLD. The programme is free for at-risk local children of Bali and Indonesia are free and visiting children can attend for a daily fee. Every child paid for by a visiting family enables the Centre to sponsor one local child for a month. The fee schedule is US $50 per day for visiting children.

About the Center

On the completion of the Centre's new building, we welcome all of you to participate. Anyone that has the desire to teach or hold activities with our family are welcome to submit a proposal to us. All artists are welcome Submissions are now open for the first year of exhibitions.

The History

The Yaari Toya Center for the Arts, an evolution of The Yaari Foundation for the Arts - which Rama Yaari formed in 1974 to serve in an advisory capacity in support of non-profits throughout the world, has assisted over 100 organizations including the Celebrity Art Auction in Support of the Sydney 2000 Paralympic Games, the Hunger Project, Reach Out Australia, International Toy Bank, International Hospice, and The Art of LIVING Coalition.

2007, Bali, Indonesia
Art Quest was renamed to Yaari Toya Center for the Arts upon the completion of the new building.

2004, Bali, Indonesia
Art Quest was established in Bali.

2003, Venice, CA, USA
Established the Theater for a Difference program at the Rose Alley Theater.

2002, Los Angeles, CA, USA
AIDS L.A Group Fundraising at the Tangier Restaurant.  MTV AND VH1 sponsor "Sexual Healing" Benefiting AAAW (Artists Against AIDS Worldwide).

1998 Australia
Yaari co-produced, directed and announced public TV show, covering events like the remake of Fiddler on the Roof with original cast members: Topl, and Guinness Book World of Record: Tree-planting competition with children and many other productions for Shalom TV.

1996-97, East Hampton
Public TV show called LTV. Art Quest Hamptons commissioned artists to go to local schools and paint with children, which art was then auctioned to raise public project such as reclaiming rundown neighborhood.

1995, Costa Rica
Yaari's Art Quest goes to Costa Rica in 1994 and spent a year working on public murals with all ages. Together with local and foreign volunteers, a 300-meter seawall that has been run down for many years was reclaimed.

1992-93, Mexico
Baja California Cleanup Campaign in Cabo, St. Lucas. We put together arts festival and public awareness the need to clean up local environment.

1992, Santa Fe, New Mexico
Umbrella project. We gather artists to paint umbrellas with kids and sell the umbrellas to the public. Kids came together, raised money, and gave it back to other groups of under privileged kids in another part of the city..
